A Note from Our Owner
I got into the mortgage business in 1999, straight out of high school. My first job was on the phones — calling veterans about a program almost nobody had heard of at the time: the VA Interest Rate Reduction Refinance Loan (IRRRL). Twenty-some years later, the IRRRL is one of the most powerful refinancing tools in the country, and helping veterans use it remains the core of what we do.
In 2002, I enlisted in the United States Navy as a sonar technician and served until my honorable discharge. My father served in the Navy before me. When I got out, I used my GI Bill to finish my degree and went back to the industry I’d started in — this time as a loan officer.
I came to this company as a branch manager, back when it was iReverse Home Loans, and our focus was helping seniors access their home equity through reverse mortgages. In 2018, I bought the company. I rebranded it as iHome Mortgage, expanded what we could offer, and built it into the brokerage it is today — while keeping the reverse mortgage expertise we started with.
Over the years, I’ve been recognized by our wholesale lending partners for production and VA lending. Those are nice. What actually matters is that after two decades of this, I can usually tell you what an underwriter is going to ask for before they ask — and that’s the difference between a loan that closes on time and one that doesn’t.
Our mission is to help veterans and their families finance their real estate goals. That’s the center of it. But we serve everyone, and we’re built to handle almost anything.
I live in downtown Delray Beach, where I’m a single dad to my daughter. Outside of work, you’ll find me with family and friends — at a game, a concert, a festival, on the beach, or out on the water.
